UTI symptoms won't stop!

Hi,
Alright, so here's the deal. I am a highly active teenager. I run and play all kinds of intense sports, most recently track. I am not sexually active. After an especially tough track season, I contracted a UTI. Not sure what caused it, but my mother is very prone to them so I'm assuming that I am as well. Anyways, my symptoms were very mild, but I probably had this UTI for much longer than I realized. No burning, no pelvic pain. Just a strong urge to pee every once in a while. I only suspected something was wrong because of how little came out and how strong the urge was.
Fast forward a little and I go to the doctor and get tested (positive for UTI, obviously) and get on antibiotics. They feel like they're working fine and all that, but I still had a nagging discomfort. Nothing unmanageable, but a little uncomfortable, even after I finish the antibiotics. I was also on antibiotics for a chest cold issue at the time, which went a week past my UTI antibiotics. Well, a week or so after both of these antibiotic rounds are over, I start feeling urges to pee again! I just thought I was being a worry wart at first, but something felt pretty off, so I went back to the doctor and got tested. No UTI! But I still had the same type symptoms, granted they were much less.
To describe them, I mostly feel an uncomfortable sensation in my urethra. Like I have to go pee pretty bad, but my urethra is the only place I feel it. Sometimes it kinda spasms and the best description would be that it feels like something is dropping down it. Not sure if that makes sense. After I pee, I have this powerful urge and it feels like there's more to give, but there really isn't. I just don't know what this is. It's nothing unmanageable, but it's irritating. Is this something I need to be worried about? I am going to wait another couple weeks and see if it goes away. I don't want to live like this forever. I've been having these urinary issues for like a month or so and it's getting old. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. I am going through something similar. It’s been about 10 weeks since original infection. I am told that the infection is gone but my urethra is inflammed and time will heal it. So aggravating dealing with the persistent symptoms of urinary frequency and pressure feeling. Did your symptoms eventually go away?
