Intercourse is very uncomforable for me and I always having a pulling pressure in my pelvic area and always feel like i have to pee but dont actually need to. My rectum comes out on a bad day about 3/4 inch and is very uncomforable. Ive tried2 pessaries neither of them held anything up. My doctor wants to wait till Im miserable he said. Well I AM! I wouldnt have seeked medical attention if I felt good! What should i do from here? He wants me to do Physical therapy but my prolapse is so severe i dont think this will fix and only prevent it from getting worse. I want it fixed - even if i have to do it again later i life.

Severe prolapse in someone your age is unusual, but I am sure you have heard this before. If you do indeed have prolapse, you might benefit from a laparoscopic uterosacral ligament suspension, with anterior/posterior repair, which can have a good outcome, and preserve your uterus in case you desire future childbearing. Please be sure to get an evaluation by a trained urogynecologist experienced with laparoscopy, who should be able to help you with this.

Is there some reason in the past that you would have very weak abdominal muscles?  Have you had chronic constipation?  This is such a shame fo such a young woman.  I hope you do as the doctor suggested. Good Luck!

During my defectography the dr performing the test seemed astonished that not just my pelvic oragans but all my organs are stretching down and laying on the rectum making me feel like  need to go still, causing some straining on my part, My concern is even if i have pelvic surgery what about all the other organs that are dropping will they continue to push down? Why are my organs doing this? can all of it be fixed? Whats wrong w/me?

Thanks Doc! I know it sounds strange in someone my age. I also have had no pelvic trauma or sexual abuse, for they ask this question alot. They seem to be scooting their feet about surgery, am i liability? Thanks so much for your help I see my doctor tuesday to talk more about surgery and i will ask if he performs laparscopic surgery. Im located in Cincinnaiti, Oh so there are only three of these surgeons here. He seems to be good, just cautious, Im just ready to get this segment of my life over with and be well again. Thanks again for your help, God Bless.
