Thank you Dr. Hoyte,
My appt was actually pushed up to this tues (25th) due to a cancellation. As for his expertise. He is chief of Urogynecology at a top Boston Hospital. I hear great things about him. Thank you for you reassurance.

are you a nurse? i too have a cystocele and a rectocele. i am having surgery on the 25th of this month. i wouldn't be too concerned at this point. a month from now will be ok for your app't. can you call them and tell them the problem you are having? maybe they can work you in. what you felt may have been your bladder. it may be close to your vagina. good luck to you.
Go to the website for the american urogynecological society (www.augs.org) or the society for gynecologic surgeons (sgsonline.org). put in your zip code , and they could give you a list of pelvic surgeons in your area. However, you should have no problem waiting for a month to get in. It is important to have a physician who is well trained. Make sure you ask about advanced training beyond basic residency.
