What causes the PSA number to increase

I have prostate cancer stage 4. I am 80 years old on lupron shots and the PSA numbers have increased to 37.

I'm very sorry to hear about your cancer and the staging of it. Do you have a supportive family that is helping in your treatment decisions and care?  I would guess you need to be or should be on more treatment than Lupron.  Chemotherapy, radiation or both.  Is your oncologist suggesting these?  Are you open to them?
