Bent and painful penis

For the last few months, following an unexpectantly painful session with my lady friend, I have suffered from a bent penis which gives pain when an erection starts and seems to be preventing me achieving a string erection.
The bend is not excessive - maybe 20 degrees - and is downwards i.e. not to either side.
To me there is no sign when the penis is flaccid and I have yet to gather the necessary courage to go to my GP - even though the overall effect is killing my self-esteem and confidence.
Whatever damage I have suffered seems to be stopping the blood flow into my penis - is this a known condition resulting from sexual activity? If so, what can be the explanation and, more importantly, can I ever expect any improvement?
Please help me if you can.
Many, many thanks.

Hi,

I'm not sure if you injured your penis during intercourse as you are a bit unclear on that.
it is possible that you have some scar tissue on one side of the penis. Another possibility is Pyroney's disase.

Surgery to correct this can be done but is not without risks. One thing that happens after tis surgery is that the overal length of the penis is some what decreased. During the surgery, stitches are placed on the oposite side of the penis to compensate for the bend in the penis.

All the best.

Hi Ron,

Many thanks for responding to my issue - and yes, the damage occured during intercourse.

Looks like I'm going to have to have the courage to see my GP!! I have private health insurance so should be covered for any operation(s) that are needed and, whilst I don't have any length to spare, it is far more of an issue not having a proper/firm erection.

Thanks again.
