Catheter Plug

Hello
Is it okay to place a catheter plug in the place of the leg bag? I would like to plug my catheter while at work and 2 days a week at school. I will purchase enough plugs so I will replace it every day. (they are pretty cheap) Also I will drain my bladder every 2 hours by removing the plug.
Is this safe?

Yes.  My urologist told me it was okay.

Good luck.

So I think it depends on the urologist. I spoke to two of them and the one that put my suprapubic catheter in told me it is okay but make sure you empty yourself at least every 2 hours. And the other told me it is not recommended because of some kind of infection. I asked here because I would like to know if any one have ever any troubles with the plug.
Also my little background. I have urethral stricture. Have surgery once where they remove a piece of skin from inside of my mouth and place it in the place of the stricture. It didn't work so my specialist send me to another guy. He want to do the same surgery as I have before but his schedule is full so I have to have the catheter for couple months. He said he don't want me to get my kidneys "sick".
