The aches your experiencing may be related to a fever caused by the UTI. Also it is possible for there to be a systemic reaction (fever, increased white blood cell count, etc) that can cause feelings of fatigue and malaise.
Hi,
There’re certain agents who can cause both urinary tract infections and joint pains like tuberculosis and mycoplasma pneumoniae. Even acute bacterial prostatitis may be associated with joint pains. You should consult your urologist and discuss these possibilities with him/her. However, the UTI and the joint pains can be 2 independent entities also. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
About 2 weeks ago, I had a sudden sharp pain in my right kidney, it hurts now to touch it, I also had an odd taste in my mouth, I looked at it and those were symptoms of a bladder/kidney infection. So I went to the clinic, and they did a urine sample, and Im calling my doctor tomorrow about my results. Would having an infection for so long make me feel crummy, because for like the whole summer I felt very lazy and sore and had a sore throat, and pretty much just not my active self? Would this be associated with a bladder/kidney infection. Thanks a million. :)
Any infection can cause achy joints and muscles! Your immune and lymph system etc/ are trying to fight it off! Some antibiotics can cause this also. HOwever you should let the doctor know about it!
I am not a doctor just patient with chronic uti's
