RBC 2+ in urine

For nearly 20 years, each time I’ve taken a urine test, it comes back with microscopic traces of blood. The test results came up 3-10….Doctors in the past have not been concerned nor ordered follow ups. My new doctor wants me to repeat the test. I’m scared. Can trace amounts be normal?
