Kidey pain and hematuria

I'm 19 years old and I have been having intense pain in my kidney area on both sides for about 4 months, and I have been to 2 urologists. While they have diagnosed me with kidney stones and they said that I have a couple of small stones in each kidney, but they are not blocking anything so they are not the cause of my pain. I have also been to a physical therapist who said it is not musculoskeletal. I have also been having hematuria for at least 2 months. I need to know what is the source of my pain and blood in my urine.

I am 20 years old and having the same issue! they say because the stone is supposedly not moving (which they have not checked in two weeks) i should not be in pain. Unfortunately i am uninsured, but one of my doctors also thinks it is not musculoskeletal while one thinks it is. the stabbing pains will hit me so bad i drop to my knees, then other times they are less severe. I hope they will help you! good luck

All this sounds too familiar! I have most of the symptoms mentioned above r/t pain in URQ that wraps around my back. Nausea and vomiting episodes that can last for a few days. The last bout sent me to emerg dehydrated, increased WBC and blood in my urine. After 3 years of colicky pain and all the tests possible, stones were found in both kidneys. The professionals figure that this is the source of my pain but after all the research, stones that are silent don't cause pain. they diagnosed me with urosepsis on the last attack. Had lithotripsy done to Rt. kidney, passed some fragmented particles but there are still stones in both kidneys. Apparently, stones in Lt. kidney can cause nausea and vomiting and pain can make one nauseous. I drink water to the point I am going to explode but still no stones pass. One physician
mentioned that the stones can irritate the kidneys causing hematuria and increased incidence of UTIs. It is very difficult working and functioning to full capacity when you get those sharp pains, burning etc. Over time it leaves an individual very weary and I'm sure the Dr.s think I'm neurotic as hell but I empathize with you all because the pain is real!!!
