Medical Prostate Massage Procedure

Ok so I'm 31 will be 32 in April and my doctor has been performing (Only 2 so farin the last 2 months So About once a month) medical Prostate Massages for me of course because I asked about them because of erection and ejaculation problems I've been experiencing for Yrs Where it takes me about 30mins to an hour to ejaculate while having sex with the Wify My Question is are Prostate Massages supposed to be Quick Like A DRE? Or is my doctor supposed to Massage the gland for a certain period of time? Becuase alls he has Been Doin is kinda forcibly push his finger in without me being able to relax in time And finds the gland and maybe pushes on it for a second then he pulls back out and he's done All With In about 1min Time from start to finish? Now the reseach I've Done On this particular procedure says That Your doctor is supposed to wait Till Ur relaxed and gently And slowly Of course with plenty of lube insert finger In and find the Prostate Gland And start massaging it on either Side For a certain period of Time Taking no longer then 10mins? And that this should B Done on a regular basis About 3 times a week? Also I do have Pyronies Disease And have been having Spermatic Cord Injections For testicular Pain Also only 2 times in the past 2 months? Anyways pls need some info on this because it seems to B Helping me with Erections and to ejaculate better but I worry that the Doctor isn't doin this procedure Right As I dont want him to cause damage to my Prostate Gland And or cause Worsening of My current symptoms!

Don’t think any of these prostate issues should have much effect on your fertility. You could have poor sexual function & prostate issues & still have viable sperm. Conversely, guys w/ great sexual function & no prostate prblms could have very low fertility...

Wow - well, sounds like a lot going on there. I’ve never had a medical prostate massage, other than one time - I had some discomfort in the perineal area which turned out to be prostatitis. The Dr massaged the prostate just long enough to express some prostatic fluid (maybe about a min or less), which was collected & then examined for possible bacterial infection. It was rather unpleasant, since he had to press fairly hard, definitely was not a pleasant experience !! After examination I was prescribed some antibiotics.

But then there’s the so-called ‘therapeutic prostate massage’, which has been thought to be helpful for some guys with non-bacterial prostatitis. This is when no infection was found, yet prostate symptoms are there. From what I’ve read, these treatments do last longer, maybe several minutes or more. I believe this type of treatment is much less common now & has kind of fallen out of favor, but some still swear by it as a way to get rid of ptostatic fluids that are kind of ‘clogging’ the system.   One caution: There is some risk that if there IS any infection, vigorous massage could spread it into other areas, so this may be one reason this type of treatment is not used as much now...

It sounds like maybe your Dr is not really familiar with this type of treatment (or perhaps not comfortable doing it) & may just be doing it per your request - unless he suggested it himself - ?? Anyway, good luck with this & your other issues, hopefully you get some resolution..,
