My scrote

In the past several months I have had a reoccurring problem with my scrotum. The very base or bottom of it where my "sack" connects with my body gets dark red and very dry. This area becomes scratchy but the more I itch it the more it begins to burn, the more it burns the more it itches. My girlfriend and I have both been tested for STD's and have come back clean. My girl friend has no symptoms or problems at all. I began wondering if I am just not drinking enough water and its a result of mild dehydration, just dry skin, but I don't know. Also I practice "being myself", (not wearing underwear) could that be a cause? It gets almost unbearable some times. I have no doctor and cant afford a visit with out health insurance, what can I do?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
The first thing to try is using a hand cream (non- scented would be best).  If your symptoms do not improve, consider a medicated powder to treat the equivalent of  a diaper rash (fungal infection) in the skin. You can also submit this question to the dermatology forum.

You might possibly have Pin Worms. They leave the rectum during darkness and lay eggs on the scrotum, causing itching. daughmic
