Hello,
If you have low testosterone levels then you need to consult a urologist. He will take a detailed history and physically examine you. In addition, the causes of low testosterone will be ruled out by getting investigations done. These causes can be primary or failure of the gonads, secondary or tertiary due to damage of the hypothalamus or pituitary and/or the failure of the production of hormones (GRH, TSH and/or LH) to stimulate the gonads.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Thank you for the reply..I have always been nervous about going to the Dr so it is good to know what to expect. I guess I will know soon enough as my appointment is at the end of the month. Thanks again for the information..
My dr put me on a low dosage of T and so far it has greatly helped with my mental clarity and I am getting my energy back enough that I can exercise again (running ). If anyone else is faced with the same situation, just know that I feel a million times better than before so it really works.
