I recently had a very long masturbation session while wearing a very tight "cockring". A couple of days later when getting an erection I felt a weird sensation and after a closer examination I noticed that there was what seems like a vein was lumpy and extremely painful. I've since tried to find out what this particular vein/tendon is called from various diagrams to get a better idea but have failed to find the right one. To be more explicit, the particular vein/tendon if you look directly down at the top of the shaft you have a main vein (the thicker one) slightly to the left and about a centimeter to the right which is almost dead centre of the shaft another smaller vein/tendon that then curves to the right finishing at the beginning of the head of the penis (bearing in mind I am not circumcised) and when pressing at the base of the vien/tendon at the base of the shaft it goes inside the pubic area. This particular vein/tendon is quite painful and very tight and lumpy when I get an erection and causes a slighter bigger swelling under my foreskin at the end of it toward the head of my penis. I've taken ibuprofen and tried to massage the small lumps away in the vein/tendon, but it's not getting any better. It's been a week now and I'm a little embarrassed to go to my doctor at the moment. Have I done any permanent damage and need surgery????? Please help.
From the symptoms Mondor’s disease needs to be ruled out. It is superficial thrombophlebitis of the penis. This is an inflammatory reaction to a clot within the vein. This subsequently causes blockages and dilation of the vein. It is typically painless, but can be painful. In studies, patients were noted to have thrombophlebitis after a prolonged sexual act with or without intercourse. It was described as cord-like thickening of the superficial penile veins.
Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
