Thank you very much for your help. I sort of freaked myself out worrying about this. So I am going to the doctor today. I really appreciate your advice.
It is possible to get a yeast infection there and it can also get with in the folds of skin in the clitorus. Sometimes woman confuse this and the urethra. You can use the over the counter yeast medication and using a Q-tip add it to the area that is infected or swollen.
The swelling can be caused by a rough intercourse session. YOu might try using some ice
first. You can get a feminie pad sized gel ice pack at many pharmacies. This can be kept in the freezer and does not get hard. Put it in a plastic bag and then wrap the whole thing once cold, in a thin material to put on the urethra.
You can also soak in a warm but not hot bath. Too hot can actually increase the swelling.
Using warm water you can add drops of tea tree oil and borax. These will help kill any yeast etc along with being soothing. Just make sure you do not over do the amounts. We are talking like 5-7 drops in the tub and less then a 1/4 c. borax.
I am not a doctor so my advice comes from personal experience. Good luck to you and wishing you a quick healing.
