Prostatitis and Swollen Glands

Hi,

Does anyone know if Prostatitis can cause swollen glands in other parts of the body (underarms and neck). I've had persistent penile aching/pain for 8 weeks. This seems to get worse as the day progresses (I get up in the morning feeling fine). Anyway about 3 weeks ago I started to get pain under both armpits, this has not gone away either.

I'm off to see a urologist in a couple of days, but was just wondering if anyone knew if they could be connected.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Although recent studies have shown a relationship between chronic prostatitis and fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome.but it can only be confirmed only after thorough investigations after ruling out the other causes of armpit pain. Also in case of infections and malignancies, the lymph nodes can be swollen which can cause pain. You should consult a urologist and get it evaluated. Also check out the following site for more information: http://www.chronicprostatitis.com/cfs.html

I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
