Swollen Testicle

I had a vasectomy 2 weeks ago. My left testicle is still swollen to at least 3x bigger than normal, my right has  returned to normal. I went back to the doctor after week one, he said I had an infection and put me on Celebrex & Levaquin . It's been a week and I still not seeing any improvement . Has anyone gone through this or know anything about it?  I would appreciate any suggestions or comments you may have.

Hi,
The only thing I am worried about in your case is the development of hematoma in the testis. A hematoma is a collection of blood in the scrotum and can occur as a post operative complication. You need to talk to your surgeon to rule out this possibility.
The other complication which I can think of is a sperm granuloma. Usually defined as a leakage of sperm from vasectomy site or rupture in epididymus. Sperm has highly antigenic properties, and the leakage can provoke an inflammatory reaction. The body forms pockets - firm balls of tissue about .05" in diameter to trap sperm. The possibility of this complication is less compared to the previous one.
I will suggest you to discuss these possibilities with your treating surgeon.
I hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind regards.
