epididymitis causing quick pain flinching

Had been having pain for 5 months, antibiotic's and icepack pretty regular. Had heard from the Doc that t could last months. When it is flaring the pain causes me to jerk or move my whole body. It happens so fast I don't realize I even moved.  My wife and son let me know though. It happened at work and t wasn't the greatest thing to the proximity of people.

Have since last week went to another doc and he gave me a shot down there and its been four days with out
the pain and its spikes. Anybody else experience quick pains like that?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
You may be having chronic or recurrent epididymitis. The etiology of chronic or recurrent epididymitis can be associated with inflammatory, infectious, or obstructive factors but, in many cases, no identifiable etiology can be identified.

The most common medical therapies for chronic epididymitis are antibiotics and anti-inflammatory agents; phytotherapy, anxiolytics, narcotic analgesics, acupuncture and injection therapy. But if none of them gives good results and symptoms persist then epididymectomy ay have to be performed.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
