Hi,
It does not appear that your erectile problems are psychological.
They seem to be part of the physiological response your body is putting up to deal with the other problems related to the reproductive organs.
testosterone levels are evaluated in hormone tests. If abnormal levels are detected, you will be counselled regarding the options available for treatment. These include significant alterations in lifestyle, including increasing physical activity, cessation of smoking etc., and other medications and dietary changes.
Dietary changes that boost zinc levels and aid sexual function include seafood, wheatgerm, cashew fruit, pumpkin seeds, etc.
You can also try fish liver oil supplements as they are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
Discharge after urination can also be related to the infection in the epididymis and should settle down with effective antibiotic therapy.
Do not stress about the erectile dysfunction, but instead focus on relaxing and giving your body sufficient time to heal.

Hi,
Varicocele is caused by defective valves in the veins of the scrotum, resulting in pooling of blood in these veins, which further cause dilatation of the veins.
Though initially harmless, varicocele has been adversely known to affect fertility due to the fact that the testes are maintained at higher temperatures than they would have been in the absence of the varicocele.
The state of wellbeing of the testes can be assessed from their function and this can be done by a semen analysis. Additionally an ultrasound of the scrotum and testes will reveal the state of the testes.
Current interventions for a varicocele include embolization and surgical ligation.

Thanks for your comment Dr.
another question about my varicocele.. my urologist said i have a slight varicocele but nothing to worry about on my left testicle.. do i need surgery for that?
all these symptoms that i had.. will it affect my fertility?
im also concern about my testicles... how can i know if its healthy or not?
looking forward to your reply. thanks.
Hi,
You can also try scrotal elevation (while in bed), wearing supportive underwear, and sitting in a hot bath for 10-15 min once or twice daily.
All these measures will ensure that you will have relief from discomfort and will also aid faster recovery.
You should also be careful that you do not obstruct the flow of the ejaculate by compression of the glans during orgasm. This can cause reflux of the semen into the prostate and epididymis and can predispose to infection while causing irritation.
Regards
Thanks for your reply.. i will make appointment with my urologist in 2 months time followed by another ultrasound.. hopefully i turn out ok.
Hi,
The collection of fluid around the testicle will take several weeks or a few months to resolve completely. The presence of fluid will not cause any side effects or impaired function.
The degree of erection depends on both physical and psychological stimulant factors.
The fact that you have nocturnal tumescence indicates that the organ is capable of functioning normally and achieving complete erection.
Scrotal retraction occurs due to the action of the cremaster muscle and need not occur during erection.
However, you may be able to feel it contracting when exposed to the cold or other such factors that stimulate adrenaline release.
The dribbling of the semen could be due to the condition of the epididymis or the prostate. The course of antibiotics you are on will probably treat any infection of the prostate.
But you can also ask your urologist to check if your prostate is enlarged in view of this symptom.
Do keep us posted on your doubts and progress.
Regards
I also want to add that sometimes when i ejaculate.. the semen dribbles out instead of 'shooting' out... in the past i 'shoot' naturally..
