I feel drunk or what I call light headed or brain fog all the time and have for 3 yrs. It *****. I hope we all feel better soon.
Hi Rottiemom71.
Look up Orthostatic Hypotension.
Could be a transient condition, or deeper rooted and caused by any of various possible factors such as Heart disease, low thyroid function, low adrenal function, dehydration, diabetes, certain nervous system conditions etc.
Hope this helps.
Niko
I was wondering if anybody else's symptoms make them feel almost drunk? When I sit fora bit and get up I feel uneasy on my feet. Wobbly. Has anybody else felt this way? And it's not vertigo as I know what that feels like. Thanks.
I was at 15 a month ago and now at 50. I still feel crappy most of the time but had a pretty good 4 days in a row which was nice. I hear it can take 3, 6, 9, or even a yr to feel better. My doctor has me on 50,000 2 times a week.
HI! I'm newly diagnosed. My level is a 4 and in reading all of the comments on this forum it explains a lot. These are my symptoms:
lack of concentration; very forgetful and spacy.
forget words or lose my train of thought
severe neck muscle pain on the sides of my neck and front of neck.
migraines / facial pains and inflammation
hands and feet are hot
excessive sweating
thinning hair
weight gain
bloating / digestion issues
extreme fatigue
bad mood
thumbnail has bad cracks and deep verticle & horizontal ridges
muscle weakness
very dry patch on hand
low libido
I was prescribed 50,000 1x/wk for 12 weeks. Does anybody know how long before I start feeling better?
Hi there. I had all the same symptoms as you along with swelling in my knees and foot pain. My D level was 6. I have been taking 50,000 twice a week for a month now and I am feeling a remarkable improvement. I can totally sympathize with you. I couldn't figure out what was wrong and thought it was emotional. I never realized the importance of Vit D. And, I even drank milk. But, I didn't get enough sunlight. I do wonder if my extremely low level is a symptom of something else. Best of luck.
Vitamin D deficiency will lead to vitamin B12 and B5 deficiencies.
Neurological issues are prevalent at B12 levels below 500pg/ml, the minimum lower range in EU.
Look also into low adrenal function, with secondary low thyroid,
low thyroid function, low tissue magnesium levels (not serum), as likely
underlying imbalances.
Non-conventional medical professionals are best suited to address these
properly!
Let me know if you need details.
Cheers!
Niko
It could also be diabetes/prediabetes or hormonal problems. These things should be easy to test for.
The symptoms don't sound like D deficiency, but sound like B12 deficiency. Get it checked too. But remember, many labs have wrong reference ranges and ideally it should be over 500.
Actually my vitamin D levels are at 18. I have been tested several times including the same time I was informed of the Vitamin D Deficiency and it has always been normal. Thanks for replying.
The low vitamin D is not a problem, just take a Vit D supplement and get out in the sun as often as you can but don't overdo it with the sun or the vitamin D tablets. Ask your doctor for a blood test to rule out thyroid problems but it could be quite a number of things including sensitivity to certain products you come into contact. Best wishes
