Muscle twitches, pain, and tightness related to Vit D?

I'm a 31 male. All this for me started Oct 1st, it first started with a twitching (not tremor) right index finger, which stop after a couple of days but then my right hand started to become tight and painful, sometimes it was as if I could feel the nerve in my right ring finger (rubber band feeling), that spread into my forearm which begun to hurt, eventually my bicep, and then my upper arm and finally my shoulder and into the right side of my neck started to feel tight and painful.

Currently, the pain has remained in my shoulder and my neck but the rest of my arm doesn't feel as bad as it used to, oddly enough, my right hip decided to join the fun and is now hurting, like a soreness which seems to fluctuate from my groin area to the outside of my hip, sometimes it feels like a pressure, like an air pocket, other times it's painful. It doesn't seem to matter what position I"m in or what I"m doing, the pain is always there. Odd thing is, this is mainly just my RIGHT side, I'll have the occasional pain on my left side or a muscle twitch here and there, but it's mostly my RIGHT side that's affected.

Sometimes I have facial numbness in certain areas that seem to pass quickly and twitches in other parts of my body, fairly infrequent now but still happens daily. When all this started I immediately saw a doctor which led to a neurologist and a rheutomologist visit, I've gotten a slew of blood work done and a brain and cervical MRI, everything basically came back okay EXCEPT my vitamin D levels, I think I was at 28, after a month and a half I got it up to 45 but all this crap is still going on.

When all this started I was feverishly searching the internet for my symptoms and I kept getting pointed to Parkinson's so I thought I would throw this out there and see what you guys think.

I've gone from telling myself it's not serious to thinking it is to thinking it's not, I'm sick of being in pain daily and not know why, any help would be very much appreciated! All the doctors can't seem to find anything. I don't know what to do anymore.

For those who have muscle pains and tingling/burning/numbness, maybe it is due to some type of neuropathy.
Alpha lipoic acid 600 mg can help. I am on it now...

Hi everyone, how is everyone feeling now? Level of 19 in Oct and now 47.  Still have aches and muscle weakness.  Can't help but think something else is wrong. I feel everyone's pain.  Any other success stories?

If your D3 level is measured by ng/mL it's still low. If you're nmoL is quite deficient.

Are you taking D3 still and are you taking magnesium? They work together. D will use magnesium and your body need more. Your muscles will hurt, you can feel depression and anxiety, get headaches...etc.

45ng/mL is still ow for Vitamin D3. You need to be above 50ng/mL.

Daily D3, magnesium and Vitamin K2.

You might want to get your B12 checked

Definitely have brain fog as well, seems to come and go. Right now my anxiety is through the roof but it fluctuates.

My main symptoms is pain, the muscles on my right side seem to tire easily and become tight and uncomfortable, doesn't seem like I can stretch them out. I've noticed that if I don't do anything strenuous and just go on walks and things like that it seems to get better, but the moment I try to jog or lift some weights (nothing intense) my muscles freak out. An example is I just did some yoga with my wife last night and at one point it felt like I was have a charley horse in my right thigh (felt like my muscle was contracting) yet my left thigh felt fine, I do get some of the same soreness and tightness in my left side from time to time though. If I can get this pain to go away, I'll be in a much better place.

The aches and pains I can deal with, but the fatigue and brain fog and anxiety... thats what makes every bad day hard to get through. It takes time for your body to absorb and replenish Vitamin D. Muscle aches, and joint pains are a major symptom. What other symptoms have you been having?

Do your symptoms seem similar to mine? I just read on here someone having similar symptoms and the only thing wrong was their Vit D was low, took them 9 months to feel a lot better but still not 100% so if it IS low Vit D, it can take some serious time.

For me the doctors don't think it's Parkinson's, MS, fibro, and a lot of other things as well, but it's hard not to have your mind wonder when your in pain everyday!

I understand your frustration. I'm about your age and it's not fun to feel like your body is going through hell. I have been having all sorts of pains. From numbness to tingles to weird tics. This all started at the very end of September for me. I've been taking so many different vitamins trying to find the perfect balance. I started at a level of 23 and in 2 months went to a 37. Just got blood work done today and I will find out tomorrow where I stand. I have a good 2 dozen symptoms, ranging from pain to fatigue to severe anxiety. Thinking there is more wrong than just vitamin d deficiency (hard to beleive 1 vitamin can do so much damage) it just makes it worse. Give it time. Doctors don't help much (at least not me) because it's not something they learn much about. I hope it gets better soon. Good days will happen, and so will bad ones. Just hang in there buddy.
