why am i vitamin D deficient

Hi. Im so confused as im doing my own research. I haven't been told much other than my vitamin D level is seriously low ?? 7.5 and I had to ask for that. Can anyone tell me in layman's terms how bad that is? Im suffering with pain, weakness, fatigue, dizziness, headaches, eye ache, muscle knots/cramps, bubble feeling up my legs (had that a long time) and cant bare the light and much more. I already have underactive thyroids and rheumatoid and my b12 levels are high (don't recall level but often under 250/200 I did receive b12 but changed docs and they didn't continue), ive had these for over 10year so when my symptoms first appeared I thought I was having a bad flare up, but noticed it wasn't just my joints. My rheumatologist noticed my colouring and my pain was more wide spread than just my joints and thought it was more than my rheumatoid and she was right, but nothing explained.. Im on colecalciferol 3,200 1 per day for mth at first then go back for bloods next week. I get sun when its out and I eat sources of vit D, so why on earth am I so low? I really don't understand
I suffer back pain also for few year now and scan showed T1 weighted and T1, axial T1weighted and T2 weighted through discs, subtle focal kyphotic change at the T11-12, scattered occasional haemangiomas in T9, L3, L4 and S1 vertebral bodies (but lower back scan showed more but they didn’t tell me which vertebras on lower spine), desiccation of the thoracic and lumbar discs, small schmorls nodes adjacent to T11-12 and T10-11 discs, disc bulge at T11-12, facetal changes L3-4 and L4-5 and hematomas on my liver (unsure how many or how big) back pain is unbearable but no treatment given, now wondering is this part of vitamin D?

There's not enough D3 in foods to raise your levels. you need UVB sunshine rays to convert the D3 in your body. There are no UVB rays for months during certain times over the year if you're 34 degrees above the equator.

US lab range is 30-100ng/mL. You need to be above 50ng/mL. Anything below should be considered deficient.
UK should be 150-250nmoL

D and magnesium deficiency can cause depression, fatigue, anxiety, pain, brain fog, headache, eye sensitivity, etc.

B12 causes never pain

You need Vitamin D3 supplements, magnesium and Vitamin K2 (as long as you aren't taking medications that would conflict with K2).

You could start at 5,000iu D3 daily for a few days to see how you feel, then work your way up to 10,000iu daily. Even when you get to corrected levels, you need to supplement daily. D3 does not stay in your body. 5,000iu is more like maintenence dose. You must retest your blood after 3 months to see where your levels are at.

The only blood test that can diagnose vitamin D deficiency is a 25-hydroxy-vitamin D (25 OH vitamin D). Unfortunately, some doctors are still ordering the wrong test, 1,25-dihydroxy-vitamin D.

Magnesium is essential, you need to take it with your D3. Take D3 with some sort of fat (like coconut oil, avocado, peanut butter, etc.  it helps D3 & K2 absorb). Take D3 in morning or afternoon. Not at night. It may keep you up.

Other health issues can affect your body from absorbing the vitamins. You could try a liquid D3 or open D3 gel caps and rub on your skin.

B12 sublingual a (dissolve under your tongue) daily.

I never saw this reply, so sorry for such a long wait in replying. (Ive not been well and haven't logged in for some time)
Im unaware of my vit D level now as they won't retest. I also have B12d (injections stopped :( ) Thank you for all that information I will note it all down. Will look into the liquid form. Much appreciated
