Prickly Skin - Vitamin B12 - Hives?

Hi, I have been facing Prickly pains on my back , arms and hands. These appear 3-4 times a day like an attack, lasts for about 5 mins and they sooth off. I went to GP who gave me a mosituriser (Dermol) and advised Anti Histamine. She also reommended a blood test done. I figured out that my Vit B12 levels were low (about 160mcg) as compared to a min of 200mcg. I was given a shot of Vit B12. I am a Vegan by food style. I am awaiting my Internsic factor test results (which they suggest could be negative). I started taking MultiVitamin Tablets and Anti Histamine tablets and the prickly attacks have subsidised. However the skin still remains dry and slowly the attacks are increasing. What would you recommend?

Got my intrinsic factor results negative. Doc says it's combination of dry skin, uritacaria which got compounded with vitamin b12 being low. I'm on a higher dose of anti histamine with a quick skin soother cream. Things seems to improve in 2 days. Will keep posted
