Chronic hemoglobin problems

I have had a serious iron deficiency. My hemoglobin was 8.2 and I was given multiple iron infusions and they can only get my hemoglobin told me to up 10. Now they have stopped all infusions and quit taking my iron pills at home. Hemoglobin still low, ferratin levels very high, rbc low, white blood cells normal. Hemotologist told me to come back in 2 months to check my blood levels again. Has anybody else had this problem. My energy levels are beginning to drop again. Last time in the the hospital for 6 days do not want to go through that again

No, never had it, but clearly until you discover why this is happening the docs are only treating the symptoms, not the cause, and therefore when you stop the supplements the problem returns.  My advice to folks is always, if your current docs can't find out what's going on, find better docs, but in this case, it seems your doc has given you a two week time period to see what's happening and so at this point it doesn't seem like there's a lot to go on.
