Sunday Weigh-In June 17, 2018

Good morning again... It's a beautiful day in my world, how about yours?

As you all know it's been another of "those weeks" for me since I stuck a sago palm branch in my eye last Sunday right after I posted our last weigh-in.  I all afternoon Sunday trying to find a doctor that could/would treat the eye to start with.  After finding out the I had a huge scratch on the cornea, the week was spent being sent from doctor to doctor getting treatment to prevent infection.  Who knew that vegetation injuries could be so dangerous?  I sure didn't!!  Nor did I have clue that there's nothing they can do to alleviate eye pain caused by vegetation; one simply has to grin and bear it. Anyway, it's on the mend now... The scratch is healing nicely and the pain is minimal; now if my sight only comes back like it was, I'll be happy.

So - I'm done complaining - for now... lol  As for my weight, I'm down 1.3 lbs this week, though I haven't really done anything except not eat a lot.  I haven't felt like doing much of anything and that includes cooking so there hasn't been a lot to eat.  Aside from that, I just haven't seemed to be as hungry as I usually am, for some reason.  I guess that's a good thing because I'm not eating everything in sight, but it also means I'm not taking time to cook very meals either.

I've been really tired and it just dawned on me this morning that I forgot to do my vitamin B-12 injection last week... I guess that would explain the tiredness, which could also explain the lack of desire to do much of anything else, as well... I'll get that injection this morning and hopefully, it won't take long for it to take effect.  Maybe I'll be back in the game by this afternoon.

How about everyone else?  I know some of you have some pretty stressful things in store for the coming week and I'm hoping for the best...

~~Wishes for a wonderful week~~

I just asked if your breakfast was healthy Annie!!!  lol

I am glad to hear your eye is getting better Barb.  Congrats on the weight loss too!!

I am down not quite a pound this week.  Have eaten rather badly too.  Goes with my attitude.  I will get back on track 100% here real soon.  I have to be up in a few hours and have only yawned once tonight!  Not looking real promising for a good nights sleep but am going to try and lay down and shut off my brain.  ugghhh

Of course, it was "healthy" for Annie to have breakfast with her husband whether the food was healthy or not... lol

Thanks, I need the encouragement.

I know you've been pretty apprehensive about today and I'm not surprised you haven't been eating well, but I am surprised you're only down part of a pound.  I do hope you got some decent sleep; you have a long day ahead... I'm with you.
We actually rarely have a big breakfast cooked at home by me. Often go out for breakfast, but it isn't as intimate even if it's a lot less work. :)  Got out of my Father's Day splurge (and I am sure other eating the past week) only a pound heavier, but that is not the direction I was trying to go at all, so I have improved my resolve. We shall see.

Thinking of Sarah today.

Hm. I'm almost afraid to get on the scale, especially after my resolve last week. My husband was working in Colorado, and flew in last night (supposed to get in at 9pm, flight was delayed -- they even had to find a new plane -- got in at midnight. Due to the cosmic sense of humor of his fun-loving clients, he had to fly out again at 9 am today, to Minneapolis. This was our Father's Day, basically from 7 am to 7:30 am.)

Yesterday our son and I had big ideas of a fancy breakfast for Daddy, since we were only going to see him an hour on Father's Day. So we shopped and got gifts, flowers, cards, something called European Cut bacon (among other sins). This morning at 6 am I started. Set up the flowers and gifts, and made my husband potatoes (slices crisped off in butter), eggs, toast, the bacon, applesauce and juice, and he himself made the coffee. And I ate some of it with him (oh dear!), especially since our son crapped out on waking up to be with Daddy on Father's Day. [He's 11, he was up past midnight, he gets a bye. Though it was kind of peculiar to be the sole representative of Father's Day for a guy not my dad, it would have been worse to have him sit there and eat all by himself, and for heavens' sake I am awfully glad he is our son's dad. He is a good man and a good dad.]

Anyway, debating on whether to weigh now or just a little later in the day, after that breakfast.

LOL...You're right, your husband did deserve some attention on Father's Day, but personally I'd wait for that breakfast to digest before stepping on a scale...  :-)
