Hello to everyone.

Good morning everyone, today is the first day I have decided to really kick into gear and get started on losing weight, once I wake up in the morning I am going to trade in my Xbox 360 and invest in some stuff to get training.

Here is a little about me.

I am a 22 year old Guy from Ireland, I am 6Ft and I weight 294 pounds with a bmi of 39.9 , I have no health issues aside from arthritis in my hands which is not severe with a good blood pressure and I am generaly fit.

I went through a deep funk of a depression back in 2007 which got me eating "Jaffa cake bars" Morning, Noon and Night (Sponge fingers coated in a orange jelly wraped in choclate) and 4 liters of coke a day, since I have got out a the depression I have decided to make it my goal to lose the weight and keep it off once and for all but due to moving back from London and breaking up with my EX things got put on hold.

Now with things back to normal and settled into life in Ireland I have decided to commit myself to getting fit, my plans are to start a daily exercise regime by tracking what I have done here and keep a food mistake journal aswell for any slip ups in my diet.

What I am hoping to do is find members who are active daily to give and recive support messages on a regular basis, keep on eye on others to see how they are doing and just generallyfind people to motivate, and to keep me motivated so feel free to send me a message, add me as a friend or just say hi.

I look forward to chatting to everyone and here is to the future!

Hi :) Good on you for picking yourself out of that little rut. The food journal is a good idea. Something that works for me is, eating as healthy as I can with correct portion sizes... working at HARD for at least 1 hr 5-6 days a week... combination of cardio and weights and then stretch to cool down. Then every second day maybe a square or two of chocolate with a cup of tea - just to stop me binging! Allow yourself a SMALL treat every now and then.

Good luck and keep positive!!!! You will feel so much better soon.
