Hi. I'm about your age and previously weighed 232 lbs this January. I tried experimenting with keto diet but not strictly following it. I just keep my carbs below 100 then 50mg a day and avoid sugary food and drink and I really tried to look for any carbs and sweets substitutes that have low carb content and I bake my own bread using almond flour or flaxseed flour and for pasta substitute I usually buy zero pasta or miracle pasta. I after 3 months I'm now 207 lbs and still losing extra pound. So the key is low carb diet and feel good exercise.

Hello Monarkis. I am 37 y/o and I weighed 78kg 3 years ago. Now I am down to 58kg. What I did? Portion control and exercise.
I started by brisk walking outdoors for an hour (or 30 mins at least) and then I became aware of what and how much I ate.
Drink more water to keep yourself full. If you have a craving, have it. Don't neglect yourself but do not overdo it. Eat a small slice of cake or a piece of chocolate (for example).
It may be hard at first but if you strive and believe in what you do, you will be successful. Each day gives you the chance to start. Best of luck!

Hi Monarkis.  How much packaged food do you eat?  You know, the stuff that is full of all sorts of ingredients that we cannot understand?  I suggest you eat whatever you want as long as it’s REAL food that is as natural and whole as possible.  Brown rice with broccoli and chicken.  Peaches and strawberries with oatmeal and cinnamon.  Not prepackaged oatmeal flavored with cinnamon, but real oatmeal you cook from scratch.  Sweeten it with some real dates, not refined sugar.  Try that.  The culprit for weight gain is all the highly processed, highly sugared, highly chemical-laden foods that are SO addictive and tasty.  If you can try eating this way for 21 days, you might find yourself renewed with hope.  Not all calories are equal!  Ditch all the sugar and white flour, skip the dieting and try this.  Good luck!

You nailed it. I’ve learned to eat from the outside aisles of the grocery store. It’s a good starting point.
