I am guessing that you may have been gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. It is often much easier to gain muscle than to loose fat. Do not get discouraged. I studied to be a physical trainer. I have learned so much in holistics and holistic weight loss. I was trying to loose a few stubborn pounds and the doctor put me on phentermine about 7 or 8 months ago. I was put on a medicine (synthroid) for a thyroid goiter that royally messed me up. I have been off this terrible thyroid stuff almost a month now. My energy has not came back. I used to love going to the gym, and prefer healthy food. I am up 6lbs since I started phentermine. I am getting annoyed, because I have no energy, and the phentermine only gave me energy for about a week or two, until I was put on that terrible synthroid for 6 months. I am not sure what to do at this point.
If you eat too few calories, you can gain weight. When you have increased physical activity levels you need to up your calories. If you are doing the insanity, your body will require more calories since you are burning more, and by eating too few calories this can cause you to go into starvation mode and your body will hold onto everything you have. I lost 40 pounds with phen through diet and exercise, and on days where I did not eat enough my weight would either stall or I would gain. Also is it close to your period? I always go up around 4ish pounds when its that time of the month.
I had my thyroid checked couple yrs ago and it was fine, think I need to check again? Maybe it is my eating, I usually have a bowl of cereal or oatmeal for breakfast. At lunch I'll have a salad or turkey sandwich. For dinner I'll have an Apple and chicken. I usually stay between 800-1000 calories. In the beginning of the yr I tried the hcg drops diet and lost 20lbs, with that diet you eat 500 calories a day so I think sometimes I feel like I have to keep eating like that. After finishing that diet I got stuck on my weight and decided to try the phen since everyone around was getting good results, I been stuck again at 146.3 since last week. I doubt in this last week in a half I have left of the phen I'll lose more, just feel frustrated that I keep getting stuck on weights and no matter how hard I exercise nothing works. Ppl lose weight on phen without the exercise so why can't I?
Maybe have your thyroid checked. Also you could be eating less food, but what are you eating? I sympathize I know what you are going through. I hve found out that weight loss is harder for some than others. I used to be very small. Went on Paxil and gained.. lost with phentermine. Now after having 3 kids within 5 years really did a job on me. Weight loss is work. Those pills only help curb appetite. I love my carbs so I need to take meds because I am simply too weak to resist. lol
I know it's not a magic pill, I am eating way less than before and better but just not losing weight. I know some people get an actual list of foods to eat from their doctor but all I was told was to eat my normal food just less of it. I work out 6days a week something I didn't do 2months ago and still not losing weight with exercise either. If anybody knows of something else I could do or try please let me know.
Some people it just doesn't work on. You have to diet when you take it. it's not a magic pill.
