Weigh in is Sunday morning; watch for the weigh in thread; I try to post it fairly early in the mornings.
I would like to b on board. I have made it to 279 and is getting so depressed fearing I will be hitting 300 soon. My goal is to be at 170 by this time next year.
Wow -- that 2 mile walk will do nearly as much good as working out at the gym. That's pretty neat, not to have to pay a membership (monthly/annual) fee if you don't use the gym. I don't think we have any of those here.
You did great with the 16,000 steps. I haven't been wearing my pedometer, but for a while, I was hitting close to 20,000 steps many days at work, but it wasn't helping me because I didn't have my thyroid levels stabilized; now I need to try again.
Keep up the good work; maybe you can help motivate some of the rest of us.
I have joined a gym which is almost a 2 mile walk away - and is a pay as you use gym, no monthly, or anual fee though you can pay upfront monthly and its a bit cheaper....so its great if I can afford it and have the time I will go if I cant I have lost no money.
Pedometer blew me away yesterday I did over 16,000 steps - when I first had one 3 or 4 years ago I struggled to meet teh 10,000 goal.
Glad to have you aboard....... this was a "get ready for summer" challenge, so it will only run a couple more weeks; however, we may extend it or I'll come up with an "excuse" to start another right away, so stay with us.
I post the weekly weigh in on Sunday morning; however, you can weigh any day you like; just find the Sunday Weigh in for the week (they are dated).
Body playing fair?? Nope - that hasn't happened to me in a while!! LOL
Congratulations on starting at a gym; I'd like to do that, but I think for me, with my schedule, it would be a waste of $; I've also stopped wearing my pedometer - need to start that again, huh??
Ohh thanks for that info Barb - I hate it when my body refuses to play fair.....
Im in with the challenge - when is it running till and what day is weigh in day?
Today i started at a gym and started using my pedometer again to try and gee up the body into realising it needs to drop a few pounds NOW!
We currently have a Summer Weight Loss Challenge in progress - you are all welcome to join, if you like. We've challenged to lose at least 1 pound/week......... Feel free to sign up.

lol, took my 18 months to come down from 319 to 233, and then got stuck in that area for 2.5 years :)....so 2 weeks is nothing! I've done a lot of browsing around here, and the 1 non active MH lady that dropped about 40% and kept it off said that she reached 3 plateaus where she just wouldn't lose, but that she just kept at it.....eventually the Cals started burning again. So i'll push and you nudge :) Planned a walk this morning with the dogs, and it started raining....so will make another plan....
Fantastic- I have a weight tracker and an exercise tracker on here..... did a food diary before and now pretty much know my weaknesses.
Thank you for taking up my challenge - good luck to us both - I have been stuck at around the same weight for 2 weeks - very frustrated.
Yup, I'll challenge you to a duel.......joined like yesterday, am 264 aiming for 220 by end Nov, so 175 days left....not fair as you want to lose 21% compared to my 17%, so i'll adjust to 21% as well, so 208, will do it right now, so starting tomorrow
Please add trackers for weight, exercise and maybe water, and most definately a food dairy....i've looked around and this is where you can see where the calories go wrong...target date 30 Nov as Dec is always chaos...right? This will give us 175 days aka 26 weeks exactly - 1.5 lb a week for you, just over 2 for me.....
Game on right.....anyone else?
