Check into the Mediterranean Diet. It seems to be one of the best all-around ways of eating. It focuses on vegetables, fruit, fish, smaller amounts of red lean red meat and chicken. Exercise is also necessary to build muscles, which, in turn burn fat. You can start out with a short walk each day. It's best to aim for 30 minutes 3 times/week, but if you don't have time for 30 minutes, try 3 10 minute walks.
