Loss 50 lbs in one year not dieting.

I weighted 225 lbs one year ago. I now weigh 175lbs. I don't have an appitite. All I can think of is it might be anxiety when I lost my job. This year my blood tests showed I had a very low red blood cell count. I had tests for internal bleeding that were negitive. My doctor just said eat more and put me on Iron pills.
I'm out of ideas.
What should I do next?

Thyroid issues can surface at any time and it's always best to check out medical issues when dealing with sudden weight issues.

Thanks Barb, I will. It has to be something that just came on within a year or two.

Go get your thyroid tested (TSH, Free T3 and Free T4) and also your vitamin b12.

Stress and anxiety certainly can cause weight loss, but make sure you rule out other medical issues also.
