Sunday Weigh In - Aug 1, 2010

My how time flies; I hope everyone has had a great week - both with weight issues and general health and well-being.

We've come around once more to the day we let everyone know how we did over the past week; whether it would be successful weight loss or a set back.  We are here to cheer you on or help pick you up again.

I'm happy to say that I'm down 1.6 lbs, from 149 both last week and the week before, to now 147.4.  I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped on the scale this morning, as I fully expected an increase since some of my thyroid symptoms are returning and I'm retaining fluid, still.

I've tried to be extra careful with what I'm eating because with working the 10 hr days, and dealing with other issues, I've been too tired to get much exercise, except what I get in the course of doing my job.

So now, it's your turn.  How did YOU do this past week?  Down, steady or up; we are here to cheer you on or help motivate you, whichever it takes.  Go for it.

Broke a 13 day plateau. Unfortunately, did so by GAINING a pound. :( Have a severe toothache (and no insurance to see the doctor/dentist) that is impeding water intake. Bought a bike which should arrive within the next 2 to 10 days, so perhaps when I start exercising more the tracker will resume it's downward trend again. I hope.

1st weigh in for this.  123.2 lb.  Last time I weighed myself was July 10 at 120.9 lb.  Haven't been doing anything for myself though.  Hopefully this group will help me get motivated.

Way to go Barb, glad to hear that you are loosing again.

Elaine, I understand your frustration, its hard to see the weigh scale not budge when you haven't been eating much. Hope it all turns around for you soon and you see good results for your efforts again soon!

Trudie, wishing you luck on your new plan. It sounds very interesting!

I am down almost 4 pounds this week but I honestly think its from finally not feeling so bloated after the hysteroscopy I had done 2 weeks ago. I was holding steady with my weight for the past month or so and aside from being really busy, etc, I was also having issues with the "monthly friend". I honestly think that everything is leveling out now. So, for all those being frustrated with staying the same, there is hope! Stick with your plan and eventually things may come around for you too!

My guys were away all week, I was stressed at work, Lupus flare with heavy fatigue, severe edema and emotional eating.  Up 1.6 lbs.  It is amazing what catching up on your sleep can do to your willpower and determination.  I went to a holistic nutrition place yesterday and purchased SlimStyles meal replacement powder.  I am going to start following their plan and am impressed at the research and understanding in this.  It is by Natural Factors.  Because of my bowel issues I need to start out at 1/4 of a serving and work up.  It helps to balance your sugars and even lowers cholesterol.  Wish me luck.
