Good morning. I hope everyone is having a good day, so far. It's looking like it's going to be a beautiful day, here - bright and sunny, with a high near 80°... I do feel for anyone in the areas having inches of snow and sub-zero temperatures. I hope you can stay inside where it's warm.
It's been a busy week here, but I don't seem to have accomplished a whole lot. I guess most of my time was involved with calligraphy related things - a monthly meeting on Monday, a Study Group on Thursday and an expo yesterday at a new Community Center that's opening in our county. It's a beautiful building and seems to have everything a community center could conceivably have, including an art room, library, gym (complete with treadmills, stationary bikes, etc) as well as a gymnasium for playing basketball and other sports. It even includes an enclosed walking "path", surrounded by glass so it "feels" like you're outside. Unfortunately, it's about 45 minutes from where I live so not very convenient. My calligraphy guild will begin classes there next month, so I'll be able to see more of it.
Being in meetings, study groups, etc isn't real conducive to getting the exercise I need, but I'm still stuck with the boot on my foot, so not supposed to be doing a lot anyway. I think I mentioned last week that I've discovered a few simple movements I can do with my boot on that don't put a lot of pressure on my foot, so I've been doing those most days.
I haven't really changed the way I eat - it's hard to do that with a husband who only wants meat and potatoes - though I do try to add some veggies every day, even though I have to eat them myself. So, I've managed to lose another 0.8 lbs. I don't usually count tenths of a pound, but 0.8 loss is better than a gain, so I'll take it. :-) I'm down a total of 7 pounds from my highest weight back in November, so although I have a long way to go, I'm pretty happy with that. I'm hoping I can maintain the downward trend.
So that's my story - how was your week? I hope it went well and you were able to reach whatever goals you might have had. I look forward to hearing about them.
~~Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week~~
