Good afternoon... Well, finally got online to post. It's been a busy day. We had to leave this morning to do some things and have out all day. Anyway, I guess better late than never.
So how is everyone doing this week? I'm still plodding along in my boot, trying to make the best of it. I just realized a little bit ago that it's beginning to smell kind of bad so I gave it a quick wash. Of course, that means I can't wear it until it dries, and I have no idea how long that will take!! I hope it's dry by bedtime, at least. If it isn't, I might wrap an ace bandage around my foot/leg to keep it "in position" while I sleep.
I did actually weigh this morning but I'd had a couple cups of coffee - anyway, I'm up by a pound from last week, when I expected to be down another pound. Oh well, I'm still down overall from my highest weight by about 6 pounds. I'm okay with that, for right now, considering the boot and everything that's slowing me down and preventing me walking and doing other exercise in which I might engage if I didn't have to wear it.
I see the foot doctor on Thursday of this coming week and although the chance is slim (to none), I'm hoping I might get out of the boot or, at least be able to reduce the time I have to wear it every day. I'd really love to be able to sleep without it. I have to wrap it in a pillowcase to avoid getting the bed dirty and supposedly to help the boot "slide" better between the sheets, but it doesn't make sleep easy (or comfortable) by any means. Because of my neuropathy, I don't like to wear anything on my feet in bed, including socks - you can imagine what the boot feels like!! Anyway, the boot (and having to wear a shoe on the other foot in order to walk evenly), really has my neuropathy in overdrive.
So that's my week - how exciting to spend one's days fighting with a big plastic boot!! How are you doing? I hope it's been a good week and you've been able to meet your goal(s). I look forward to hearing about them.
~~Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week~~
