Another point for Stefen -- why do you want your weight to be 60 kg? That is pretty light, unless, of course, you're not grown yet. What is your age and height?

Stefen, if you have not already done so, speak with your doctor to be sure there is nothing triggering the weight gain (such as a thyroid issue) and then talk to the doctor about exercise and about what you eat. But do get a complete check-up too, you don't want to miss something that has a medical answer. It is never a bad idea to run your diet and exercise plan by a doctor, either, even if you do not have any medical conditions that contribute to weight gain -- the doctor is interested in all aspects of your health including staying at a healthy weight.

I would only say that doctors really aren't trained at all in nutrition.  What they know are a few cliches we all know but don't always follow, but if you really want to run a diet by someone, do it with someone who is trained in that specialty, such as a holistic nutritionist.  I'm sure there are some docs out there who on their own have put a lot of study into this, but they are the ones who practice integrated medicine.  Eating is complicated and very individual, and no doctor will spend the time with you on this.  As for docs who specialize in weight problems, not sure I'd trust them, either, as they tend to favor expensive and invasive procedures and medications rather than know the very complex ins and outs of eating.  Whenever you seek professional help do your best to get it from someone who actually focuses on what you need help with, at least that's my take, for what it's worth.
I was concerned that anyone who is overweight should have a medical exam, to rule out illnesses or conditions.
I agree completely, I was only responding to the one small part about getting a doctor's advice on what and how to eat.

If you give more detail on what your diet is like and what your exercise level is and how old you are and whether you made some changes to your life that led to the weight gain you can get more help with this.  But basically, every weight problem has the same answer -- eat better, exercise more.
