Sweetie am in the same boat you are! I know you aren't going to kill yourself figure of speech am sure! (I HOPE) Guess we will just have to take it one day at a time. Try and remember how good we felt and know we can feel that way again. It's up to us! Read my crazy a$$ rant I posted on the People Forum about an hour ago! It's always good to vent, then come up with a plan of attack. I know we can do it , because, we already have lost weight. That's not trouble! The trouble is bad choices. I know how to eat healthy and exercise, am just having a ruff time right now. I'll get it together, Best of Luck to you and make those healthy choices! :)

Diet pills are not recommended, because, while they may help lose the weight, you're the one who has to keep it off.  You have to start eating a healthy diet and get plenty of exercise or the weight will come back as soon as you stop the diet pills.

linsy-lou... I, too, am pre-diabetic and it can seem quite daunting, but it can be controlled.  Making small changes that you can stick with is the easiest way to do it and don't try to change everything all at once or becomes mind boggling and is too easy to give up.

Start by eliminating sodas from your diet and drink water instead.  Also, eliminate foods that are full of sugar, such as candies, pastries, cakes, cookies, etc.  After that, eliminate foods that are made with white flour.  Switch to whole grain breads and pastas, brown rice, etc.

Make sure you get plenty of protein every day.  This can be in the form of meat, chicken, fish, dairy (milk, yogurt, cheese, etc), eggs, beans/legumes...

Limit fruit to one or two servings/day, because most fruits have a lot of sugar in them.  Even though it's "natural" sugar, it's still sugar and will spike your blood sugar levels.

Last, but certainly not least, is exercise.  Walking and yoga are two of the best exercises you can do, but any activity that keeps you moving is acceptable.  Aim for a minimum of 30 min/day, at least 3 days/week and increase gradually, to an hour/day 5 days/week.

I am in the same boat.  Took doctor prescribed diet pills this time last year. Lost thirty pounds in three months. Everyone noticed. I felt great. Stopped taking them, that and thensome came back. Taking diet pills again now...haven't lost a pound. Very, very frustrating. I just want to eat more.
