Could valtrex cause a false negative pregnancy test?

I get cold sores in and around my mouth and have been prescribed valtrex and a friend of mine said they thought valtrex was one of the drugs that could give you a false negative pregnancy test. Anyone else heard of this? Thanks!

"No" - valtrex will not cause a false negative.

If you think you might be pregnant, it may be a little too early too test - use first morning urine and a sensitive test.  If negative, repeat again in a week if you dont  get your period.
