Sick in the early hours

my 14mth onld daughter is being sick in the early hours of the morning (2-5am) only for the past 4 nights..  i took her to the gp yesterday and was told it was viral upon reading other symptoms came across giardia and remembered she had been drinking dirty rainwater.  should i take her back to the gp or is there anything i can do to help her.  she is fine in the day and i am still breast feeding at night.  she will not eat food or take much fluids at the moment?

If it is giardia, she needs a certain kind of antibiotic that comes from the doctor.  It might be a good idea if you are concerned she has giardia for her to be seen again, especially if she is not eating or taking much fluid.  Is she having problems with foul-smelling, loose stools?  That is a giardia hallmark.

hi annie thanks: her stools are a little looser but not "foul" smelling but i think your right about taking her back to gp as i wasn't aware of giardia when i took her yesterday!!
