Red bumps on my labia

Concerned about red bumps on my labia! I have about 8 of these small, raised bumps. They're smaller than a pea, look like mosquito bites, and are itchy  and sore. The entrace to my vagina is swollen and sore. The glands where my hip bones meet my vagina are also swollen and sore. I'm also having a more liquidy discharge than normal, but no odors.

I used a condom with the spermicide Nonoxynol-9 for the first time this past Friday and within an hour these bumps started forming. Is this nothing more than an allergic reaction? I've had unprotected sex once with a new partner recently and was tested for STDs only a couple months ago and was clean.

If this is just an allergic reaction, should it be lasting 4 days?! Time to see the doctor? Or will this go away on its own?

I'm also suppose to be starting my period soon... wondering if the bumps could also be caused or worsened by my hormones right now?

Thanks, timmysmom2005.

I think the swollen glands by my hip bones might be caused by something else. I have a genital piercing that has been infected/irritated for a few days (before the bumps appeared). Hoping that's all the swollen glands are associated with. I have been taking care of the infection... have had tons of practice with infected piercings... should be OK.

I do tend to get hives when I'm allergic to something... but they always go away with benedryl. I've taken it a couple times over the past 4 days... and just took some more! Hope it helps. Will see a doctor if it does not.

Any more suggestions, anyone?

I think you definitely should see a doctor to find out for sure what it is. The bumps, swelling, and soreness do sound like they could be an allergic reaction, but not sure about the hip bones being sore. That kind of sounds more serious. I think you should take 2 (25 mg each) benadryl (as long as thats a medicine you can take) If it is an allergic reaction that should help with the swelling and itching. If it doesn't help then I would be more likely to think it is a woman's problem and you need to see your GYN. Good Luck!
