women's bone health

RE: Preventive health
I have found that now in winter when there is less sun that if I wake at night with aching in parts of my body, I can cure it by drinking some soy milk with high calcium.  However, my total calcium intake is too high by the additions.  Therefore should I worry that I might form kidney stones or have other bad results from too much calcium.  I am 74 years old.  My bone density was tested at the hospital and found to be in the range of a 30 to 40 year old.

Thank you. That seems to be the best thing for me to do right now.

Have you had your vitamin levels checked? Sometimes if you have a low D count or a low B12 you can have joint pain. Next time you see your doc ask him/her to do a complete CBC panel and check all of your vitamin levels. I'm not a doctor but I did and still do take care of an elderly parent so I  try to keep up with the current info on things.
