A bit scared

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can ease my mind. I'm 34 and have never been sexually active nor am I on any meds. I've been having thick dark brown discharge after my periods lasting for weeks. This has been going on for the past 2 years. Recently the thick dark brown discharge turned into a brown watery/flakey substance. I notice a "flaking" taking place when I urinate as well. Now it's light brown in color with my period due in 6 days. The upside or down side is that I am regular, every 28 days. My periods used to be very heavy and lasted about 7 days. Now I bleed lightly for 1 to 2 days with the thick brown discharge following. To make things a little more difficult, I'm scared to death of and have never had a pelvic/pap exam completed. I'm scared enough that I did make an appointment. My primary physician prescribed some medication to get me through the exam. So, 2 questions here. One, I keep hearing  brown discharge can be normal but what can be done to stop it? And secondly, the doc prescribed me 5 xanax to help me get through the exam but had instructed that I only take 2 at .25 mg; what is the worse case scenario if I take all 5 or 2.5 mgs? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Do not take all five of the xanax! You will most likely fall asleep and you cannot drive if you take all five. Bad idea. Stick with what ur doc prescribed. As far as the discharge, I don't know of any way to stop it so you must see a gyno for an exam in order to determine if there is a specific cause for it and what can be done to stop it.
