Belly Button Infection

I had a bellybutton piercing and I had to take it off because I am pregnant. I noticed the top part became so swollen like a pimple and hurts. Should I leave it and keep washing it with warm water and soap? OR should I have some sort of treatment?

Treat it with an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin. The stuff is cheap, a tube lasts forever, and it works wonders. You have and infection and keeping it clean will help, but the antibiotics with keep it from hurting and heal it a lot faster. Good luck.
