It's not unusual for boils to form multiple heads and if they should form in a row that might give the impression of not being round. In your picture (thanks, but the way) it almost looks like the boil is round but the heads are forming in a line across the middle. As for Herpes, my understanding is that Herpes eruptions have a red, irritated head while boils develop a white head. That too suggests you have a plain old ordinary boil. Sounds like you successfully dealt with one before so just treat this one the same. If you keep getting them in body crease areas, mention this to your doctor. For all boils antibiotics are the standard treatment.
