Does anyone know anything about Centchroman (Saheli) and it's use as birth control?

I heard about it in an Explained episode and apparently many people in India use it as birth control, but it's hard to find information about it. I've had issues with other birth control, so I was looking for a new option.

Here's a link. It's used as a birth control method, and also for various other hormonal-related disorders.
