Bleeding 2 weeks before period is due (again?)

So in September I got my period two weeks early, and it was a lot lighter than normal, without any of my typical PMS symptoms except maybe very minor cramps - so minor I barely even noticed, and only on the first day.  My period was on the 29th the month before, and then in October I got it on the 25th and that period was normal in length, PMS symptoms, etc. (which I thought that maybe was because the one I had on the 17th was just weird, and my cycle went back to normal after that).  But then today (the 17th of November) I noticed very minor cramps again, which I didn't really think much of for some reason, and ovulation ended a few days prior - maybe 5 or 6 days ago at the most?  But then I noticed dark brown discharge, exactly the same as what happened in September (and on the exact same day!!)  Could this just be because my period was supposed to come on the 17th last month, and is getting back to its new normal, or should I be worried that it's something worse??  I did have quite a bit of extra stress within the last couple of weeks, so I guess it could be that, but it still worries me nonetheless that it could just keep happening.  I'm 19 and have had no other symptoms of anything else, and no sexual activity.

Something else that happens is hormone imbalance.  Things like too much progesterone production can cause this midcycle spotting.  Anyway you can see a doctor?  A blood test could be run to check your hormones.  Many can take birth control pills and clear this up and get back on track.

Sometimes odd periods can happen because of an ovarian cyst that formed and is resolving. But also, women can see changes in their cycle due to stress or for other reasons (most of them unimportant. For example, female roommates often notice that once they begin to live together, they begin to cycle at the same time. It's said to be the influence of pheremones.) Don't worry but do keep track, and if things don't settle down in the next few months, you might call your doctor. I'll bet he or she would be unconcerned, though. lol

(I just realized that this is actually only about a week before my period would be due for this month, which for me is fairly normal.  But it's just kind of weird because of the way it's come about...)
