Bleeding outside period?

This question might be a little TMI, so sorry! But i'm a 19 yo female and I'm not a virgin. A few nights ago I was fingering myself and noticed I was bleeding and had tiny clots or something? It wasn't a lot of blood but it was on my fingers then it stopped. I don't have long nails or anything and my period had ended the previous week. Every time I've fingered myself now there's a tiny bit of bloody discharge. Also, isn't the cervix opening supposed to be open during the period/ I looked it up how to check so I tried that and it's definitely open. Please help, I'm not sure if I should tell my mom or wait to go back to college and see if it continues.
