Bloody discharge during yeast infection

I'd been itching pretty badly around my vulva, and I've experienced the same thing before which I self-diagnosed as a yeast infection. This seemed pretty similar, so I bought Monistat and gave myself the dosage a few days ago. Recently, I've been having thick, white discharge (the cottage cheese kind that usually comes with yeast infections), but with small specks/particles of blood in it. I've read that it's normal to occasionally see blood during yeast infections, especially if it's not your first time having one. Just wanted to check here and see if anyone else has experienced it/can affirm it's normal! Thanks!

Argh.  Yeast infections!!!!  They are so annoying.  Blood specks are indeed normal.  I've had the pink cottage cheese discharge myself because of it.  It makes sense since the vagina is so irritated from the overgrowth of yeast. This article talks about how common blood is during a yeast infection. https://www.healthline.com/health/can-a-yeast-infection-cause-bleeding  The candida can cause inflammation, blood is common

I have had success over the years with monostat one day.  But the doctor can prescribe a pill you take once that gets rid of it.  How are you treating your yeast infection?
