Bump in Bikini Area

I have had a marble sized bump under my skin in the bikini area for about year now. I am not sexually active. I went to the gyno earlier in January and she told me I didn't have to worry about anything. She never told me what I must do if it never went away and I really can't stop thinking about it. The bump is on the right side of my panty line, so if it were located anymore to the left, it would be on my leg. I haven't noticed the bump growing but my skin seems to be darker in that area. It gave me a sharp pain once when I was wearing shorts and changed my seating position in the car. Otherwise I would never know it's there because it doesn't hurt. I have read that this could be a number of things, most of which are not good, and I have made another appointment to see my gyno in a few weeks. Should I seek attention asap? What could it be? Thanks.

It could be a swollen lymphnode. I would definitely go back the doctor regarding this. Please keep us posted on the results.

Hello there,

May I suggest as this is a skin issue that you try and make an appointment
with a dermatologist. Where I live, you need a doctor's referral to a dermatologist. From the sound of this, it doesn't sound like a gyne problem
but rather something for a dermatologist. Good luck.

Sounds like an ingrown hair. They can cause large cysts like areas if infected.
