Burning urine but doc says no infections...

Hi. For a long time I have this burning feeling in my uretha... It' always starts randomly when I pee and then after I pee it keeps burning for hours. I've had the doctor test my urine 3 times recently and they keep telling me its clear. I don't get it because I'm in major pain ! It feels just like a uti .... I also have major fatigue and other similar symptoms that lab work isn't showing either. Has anyone had similar experience ? I'm not sure what to do since my dr can't find an infection... It flares up maybe every couple weeks... I take azo just to take away the pain and then a few week later this happens again. This has been the cycle for a long time I just don't know what to do

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to urethritis. It is an inflammation of the urethra. It can be due to STD’S like Chlamydia or gonorrhea, chemical irritation caused by soaps, lotions etc, masturbation and bacterial infections of the urethra.

In urethritis the diagnosis can be made only by the proper collections of urine specimens from both the urethra and the bladder. These specimens will reveal the presence of white blood cells in the urethral washings, while the midstream (bladder) specimen will be free of cells. Also other tests that need to be done are swab samples and blood tests.

I would suggest urologist’s consultation and the above investigations to be done to confirm the diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
