Can I stop taking flagyl and start back after my cycle?

I started today.Ive only taken one and Im Suppose to take 2 a day for 7 days. (For bacterial vaginosis ) I started my period earlier today after I ve already taken my 1st dose. I want to stop and wait until my cycle is over because I feel the symptoms come back after my cycle and I will feel more fresh after. I know it says to don t stop taking them but I m wondering will one hurt anything so early on?
