Emy, did you ever figure it out? I’m experiencing the same thing!
It's 5am and I'm not able to fall asleep because of tingling. I have the dame symptoms, also few days before menstruation. Have you found an answer? Did it ever go away? I'm really tired
That's similar to what my doctor said, I just wasn't sure. But now I bet you're right, thank you! And thank you for making me feel less alone. Just one question though, did it go away ever, or will I have to live with it for the rest of my life?
Thank you guys!
I'm thinking it's a natural response from the swelling of vulva and vaginal tissues that can occur because of hormone fluctuations. Around the time I ovulate each month I get an itchy vulva too, and my vagina feels sensitive, almost burning. Since I've had it for so very long and I don't have any infections, I talked to my dr. about it. She told me that is was probably just the way my tissues reacted to my hormones. And, it only happens during ovulation and sometimes menstruation. Goes away the rest of the month.
And, it makes sense because have you ever seen animals that are in heat? My dog's vulva swells up to double its normal size and she's always squealing in pain when she moves too abruptly. I used to take her in to the vets all the time for suspected bladder infections, but she never had one. It's just that she's swollen and extra sensitive.
Women aren't really that different. Just before we menstruate our hormones are surging and we all react slightly differently. Your itching might be from increased bloodflow to the area, making your clitoris more sensitive. The burning could be from the same. Just a bunch of guesses though. But, know you're not alone. There was a period of my life that I went to the dr.'s once a month only to have them send me home and tell me nothing was wrong. Then I started tracking it and then it all made sense to me. It might not be the same for you, but if you're doctor reassures you that nothing is wrong down there, it's a definite possibility.
Thank you guys. I did see my doctor and she tested for a UTI but it wasn't that :( That's what I thought it was too though. My doctor didn't know unfortunately what it was so I still don't really know what to do....
Thank you for the suggestion though.
Sounds like a UTI. If ou dont like drinking cranberry you can take the pill form but also drink water and it should help until you can see a dr. Good luck
I had a UTI once, and that's exactly how it felt. I wanted to cry all day, every day. Even at school. On top of that, it pretty much hurt when I peed too. So I believe you have a UTI but you still might want to get it checked out. Cranberry juice might also help the urge to pee, because it SURE DID help me! Good luck :)
